Date : 14th Sept 2025 |.----------------.| Author : Vela025 || --TELECITIES-- || Category: Old Tech || || || Geocities for || It's been a busy evening, but I have now || Teletext || re-written my javascript based teletext host || || in python for my python based BBS. It's a ||________________|| cross between Teletext and Geocities, anyone |-[CUB]---------[]-| can set up a site and start uploading thier '------------------' frames (which can be directly exported from ZXNET teletext editor using the BBC Micro RAM export option). It has the following features: * Frame Hosting * Sub Frames * Extended Frames * Pagnation * User Blogs * Page Comments * Line editor for comments * File Uploads/Downloads When a user selects [T]elecities from the Main BBS Menu they get a directory of all the users that have a Telecities page set up which they can then browse, leave comments if enabled or download files from. Blogs can either be text files or extended teletext frames that scroll with pagnation. A user can manage their site from the [D]oors menu under Telecities [M]anager. Which gives the following menu: Telecities Site Manager (U) Upload a Frame (F) File Upload (D) Delete a Frame (C) Enable Comments (P) Purge Comments (N) Disable Comments (B) Blog Upload (E) Erase Blog Post (R) Rename Site (X) Remove Site (Q) Quit Select Option: It's open to everyone to use, so send me a message if you need a bit of help or have any ideas for additional features. If you're missing a BBC Micro to use then you can either use the BBC Mode 7 option in Syncterm (which has x-modem support) just ensure you are using a RAW connection (not telnet) or you can access the BBS via http://bang.ccl4.org/js-beebs/
